Partner Spotlights
Led by ISTE+ASCD, GenerationAI is a coalition of leading organizations dedicated to educational excellence and equity. Each month, different partners will be highlighted.
Center for Black Educator Development
The Center for Black Educator Development was launched in 2019 and is revolutionizing education by rebuilding the national Black Teacher Pipeline. The Center for Black
Educator Development leverages the well-documented research that Black students are best positioned for success when they are taught by people who can serve as mirrors, not just windows, to their world—Black teachers, grounded in Black pedagogy, supported by policies that work for them and sustained by professional pathways designed with them in mind. They offer support for pathways to teaching as well as professional learning. They advocate for local, state and federal interventions that support teacher diversity. Latinos for Education
Latinos currently make up 25% of school children and will become a third of the US population by 2050. Yet, educational equity is still out of reach for 5.4 million Latino students. Our nation is dependent on this future workforce that needs
increased access and opportunity for an excellent education. We need more Latino education leaders serving as decision makers and advocates to work alongside Latino students and families for their collective empowerment. Latinos for Education is leading a coalition of Latino education leaders to increase access and more equitable pathways for Latino children. This is the first Latino-founded and led national organization solely dedicated to creating leadership pathways for Latinos in education.
