GenerationAI is a groundbreaking educational movement designed to empower K-12 educators with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to safely and responsibly capture the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom.

No-Cost Learning Opportunities

Last Chance!! Applications close on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT for the second cohort of the ISTE+ASCD Community of Practice. This yearlong experience provides participants with the a community 

Community of Practice Cohort 2

and other supports to tackle a problem of practice related to AI implementation. Those selected for this experience will receive an all-expense paid trip to the in-person convening held in September, access to AI training, free ISTE+ASCD membership, and a $1000 stipend with successful completion of all required activities. NEA and ISTE+ASCD Webinar Series: As part of the work with GenerationAI, ISTE+ASCD partnered with NEA to offer a 4-session webinar series. This series has wrapped up but recordings of 

previous sessions are posted on the NEA learning management system. 

 

Interested in boosting your AI knowledge? ISTE+ASCD has launched a new course titled, GenerationAI: Transforming Teaching and Learning. This 5-hour, self-paced course guides educators through

Learning About & Teaching with Artificial Intelligence: The National Education Association (NEA) has released a new online course that is offered at no cost to educators. The independent study course, Learning About and Teaching with Artificial Intelligence in Education, explores the 

foundational concepts of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential educational applications. Educators will learn to integrate AI tools effectively and ethically into teaching, learning, and administrative processes while fostering AI literacy among students. Visit the NEA Professional Excellence Portal to register for the course.

IMPACT Fellow: The IMPACT Fellowship is a prestigious, year-long leadership development program focused on creating Inclusive, Meaningful, and Powerful Approaches to Computing Teaching (IMPACT). Participating educators receive comprehensive leadership development while working collectively to identify and address challenges in computer science education. Fellows design and implement solutions that have a measurable impact on classroom practices, becoming catalysts for system-wide change. The program cultivates a network of influential CS educators committed to ensuring all students can access and succeed in quality computer science education. Responsible AI Fellow: The Responsible AI Fellowship is a year-long leadership journey that empowers PreK-12 educators to develop ethical, inclusive, and transformative approaches to artificial intelligence education. This program addresses the critical need for educators who can navigate the complex landscape of AI education while ensuring responsible innovation in classrooms. Our fellows will develop expertise in ethical AI frameworks, Inclusive AI education, transformative teaching practices, and leadership and advocacy.
