AI Explorations for Educators Scholarships: Would you like to spend time with other educators learning about AI in education? In the ISTE+ASCD AI Explorations for Educators course, you’ll learn to identify the various types of AI, hear about AI technologies on the horizon and build some of your own tools to make AI concrete and accessible for you and your students. This is a 15-hour, self-paced course with ongoing instructor support. No previous knowledge of AI or experience coding is required. Scholarships are now available for K-12 educators.

Learning About & Teaching with Artificial Intelligence: The National Education Association (NEA) has released a new online course that is offered at no cost to educators. The independent study course, Learning About and Teaching with Artificial Intelligence in Education, explores the foundational concepts of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential educational applications. Educators will learn to integrate AI tools effectively and ethically into teaching, learning, and administrative processes while fostering AI literacy among students. We're looking for engaging guests and presenters for this year's BMEC! If you're a dynamic speaker with compelling stories, research, or art to share, we invite you to submit a proposal by June 27, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET. Use our online submission portal to submit your proposal, and if accepted, you'll get a discounted early bird rate. Remember, each presenter can submit only one proposal but might be asked to participate in multiple sessions. Ensure one person is the primary contact if you're presenting with others. Acceptance notifications will be sent via email by August 8th, 2025.
The Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) K-12 Standards — last published in 2017 — are getting a refresh! CSTA is conducting a comprehensive revision process for the CSTA K-12 Standards. The writing phase of the process began in September 2024, and CSTA is excited to share a full draft of standards with you for feedback.
The draft standards document represents the work of 24 standards writers and 57 standards advisors. CSTA seeks feedback from the CS education community on the progression and importance of the standards, including whether the standards are essential and are aligned to appropriate grade bands.
Sign up today! Submissions close June 13. Your feedback will inform adjusting the standard progression where necessary and removal of unessential standards.
